Anika Akter - A place she feels secured and finds her sense of identity

Six-year-old Anika has a horrific past. According to her, Anika's mother, Shirina, was killed by her father Shahabuddin, and he subsequently deserted her. Losing a mother at such a tender age is tragic. Having Anika’s father abandon her brought an even deeper trauma. Nevertheless, she still fondly remembers her loving mother and sister.
Anika is shy and reserved but adorable. She has a cute smile and won the heart of everyone at Umbrela. She loves ice cream, milk, rice pudding and litchi and loves to play with dolls and toy cars. Her ambition is to become a school principal.
She started going to school when she came to Umbrela, and now she is enjoying her school. The sense of identity that she finds in Umbrela is invaluable to make her feel secure.
