Right skills are keys to a prosperous future
Skill development is no longer a matter of choice for anyone from any walk of life. At Umbrelă, we try to empower our women and children with the required skills according to their interests and ability so that they can live with dignity and prosperity.
Skill development programs are arranged for both the women and the children.
For the children, lessons are given for developing IT skills, moral education, general grooming and etiquette to build their confidence and to be able to communicate with the people and society around them.
For the women, such programs are designed primarily with the objective to help them learn something, work independently and develop skills in cooking, baking, stitching, handicrafts and any creative jobs to earn money. They have access to life skills classes. Special training programs are offered by support groups and volunteers to build awareness and increase knowledge on women's rights, empowerment and their legal rights for protection against exploitation.
